Young PSV will travel to IJmuiden tonight for the match against Telstar. Because a number of players and staff members were infected with covid-19, last Monday's match was cancelled. A number of names are still missing, so the team has been reinforced with old and familiar names.
Selection
Coach Peter Uneken and assistant coach Edwin de Wijs will be replaced by Ernest Faber and Jurgen Dirkx. The player group will also be supplemented. From PSV under 18 the following players join: Livano Comenencia, Ilyas Bougafer, Koen Jansen, Mylian Jimenez, Mohamed Nassoh and Emmanuel van de Blaak. The latter joins Young PSV for the first time and can thus make his debut in professional football. Kyan van Dorp and Mark Spenkelink are the two closers in the selection.
Home game
Psv U21 lost its last game 2-0 to De Graafschap, so tonight it will want to get a good result for the battle for the fourth period title. Had can draw confidence for that from the home game on Oct. 2, 2020. After a scoreless first half, Nigel Thomas scored the opening goal in the 57th minute. Kristófer Kristinsson scored a few minutes later and Djenairo Daniels finally determined the final score with a third goal.
Fourth Period
In the battle for the fourth period, Young PSV is in third place behind Go Ahead Eagles and SC Cambuur. It did play one less game due to Monday's cancelled match. With a win or a draw in IJmuiden, it climbs to second place. Next Monday's match against TOP Oss will be made up.
The match begins at 8 p.m. and can be followed via the switch channel on ESPN 1.
