Young PSV failed to win the fourth period title in the final round of the Jupiler League. Visiting Fortuna Sittard, the team went down 1-0. Because of the defeat Young PSV ends in fifth place in the league. Fortuna promotes.

Koopmans standout
The match at the Fortuna Sittard Stadium started very badly. Both teams handled ball possession messily and that led to few chances. After fifteen minutes Fortuna got better in the match and trainer Kevin Hofland's team created a number of chances. Coach Dennis Haar's team also had a chance. Dante Rigo shot wide after a good attack. Yet before halftime goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans was the star of the game with some fine saves.

Mostly tension
Young PSV faced a 1-0 deficit early after halftime. Finn Stokkers hit the ball hard from close range, this time leaving Koopmans without a chance. Later, Young PSV looked to make it 1-1, but a volley ended up in the side-netting. With a number of substitutions Haar tried to force something, but there were no big chances. Nevertheless it remained exciting until the last minute, but no goals were scored.
