Psv U21 failed to take three points against FC Dordrecht. The visiting team took the lead in the first half and Peter Uneken's team did not manage to bridge the gap anymore.
Mixed opening
The opening phase remained fairly quiet with small chances back and forth. A shot by Cyril Ngonge slid past the goal and later a chance by Robin Schoonbrood met with an FC Dordrecht defender. The Dordrecht players came up with the biggest chance but saw a shot hit the post. The away team came up with the opening goal. Jari Schuurman passed Mike van de Meulenhof in the rebound. Ngonge came close to a goal a second time but his shot flew over the goal. Without another goal, the halftime signal sounded.
No connection
The second half also started alternately. Coach Peter Uneken brought Tijn Daverveld into the lines at the expense of Jordan Teze but the tactical change was to no avail. Young PSV was not without chances, a whirling combination between Sekou Sidibe and Richard Ledezma brought the game forward, but did not find an end point. Ten minutes before time, Robin Lauwers came on as an attacking substitute. But he too failed to turn the tide. Both teams failed to score and 0-1 became the final score.
