With no less than nine players from PSV O18, four of them sixteen years old, Young PSV played the catch-up match against TOP Oss at PSV Campus De Herdgang. With a win, Young PSV could move up two spots to thirteenth place and do good business in the battle for the fourth period title. The match ended in a scoreless draw.

Many chances, no goals
In the fifteenth minute, former PSV player Olivier Rommens was injured, forcing TOP Oss to make early substitutions. Just after that, Young PSV ran into trouble. After a dropped ball, the Ossians had the ball ready to go. Mark Spenkelink, however, saved with a cat-like reflex. Young PSV's most dangerous chance came in the 40th minute when Frederik Oppegård captured the ball high up the pitch. He put Jeremy Antonisse away who then curled the ball just wide of the goal.

Exciting final phase
In the early stages of the second half, Young PSV had the ball, but failed to create any clear-cut chances. In the 75th minute, Mohamed Nassoh got the ball at his feet on the edge of the penalty area. He took a hard shot, but the ball hit the crossbar. Then Mylian Jimenez came on the scene and made his debut in professional football. Shortly after, Antonisse broke free and headed towards the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper was too late and received a direct red card. The foul was committed outside the penalty area and the free kick flew over. Despite the overtaking situation Young PSV did not score any more goals, the glasses remained on the scoreboard.
