Young PSV played FC Dordrecht on Tuesday night. In a game where Peter Uneken's team mainly created chances, it ultimately remained empty-handed. Armando Obispo and Joël Piroe were in the lines the entire match.
Counters
In the first minute there was immediately a big chance for FC Dordrecht, but Tijn Daverveld was able to prevent a goal with a sliding tackle. After that Young PSV often came close to the goal. Yet it was FC Dordrecht that was most dangerous with a number of counters. PSV's best chance in the first half came from a through pass by Dante Rigo, but Shurandy Sambo was unable to find the goal. Then Maxime Delanghe was able to celebrate another spectacular save. A few minutes later, however, he could not prevent Young PSV from going behind in the 34th minute.
Final offensive
Just after the second starting signal, Fodé Fofana got one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but his effort was turned away. Sambo then had to intervene twice in quick succession to prevent further delays. Johan Bakayoko quickly put Fofana in position for a second time after a lob over the defense. This time, however, the effort went wide. Moments later, Young PSV broke through again, but again they failed to score. Despite a final offensive, PSV did not score anymore. Final score 0-1.
