Psv U21 lost 4-2 to SC Cambuur. Peter Uneken's team fought back hard but the two goals were not enough.

Early deficit
Robert Muhren, top scorer in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, shot the home team into the lead at lightning speed. Young PSV had to fight back against a deficit early in the match. The hard rain and headwind made the match even more difficult. Noni Madueke came close after a fine solo but was unable to pass the Frisian goalkeeper. Still, Young PSV finally broke the spell by equalizing, Yorbe Vertessen managed to find Noni Madueke's head from close range for the 1-1 halftime score.

Tandem
Early in the second half, Young PSV fell behind again. Yanick van Osch failed to turn away a Frisian effort. Again, the Eindhoveners equalized shortly thereafter and again it was due to the tandem of Noni Madueke and Yorbe Vertessen. This time it was the Belgian who shot mercilessly after a good ball from the Englishman. Fifteen minutes later the deficit was back again. A clumsy intervention by Van Osch produced a chance for the home team and SC Cambuur took maximum advantage. Just before time, the game was locked. A penalty kick for the Frisians decided the final score: 4-2.
