In the very first match of the year, Young PSV took on FC Dordrecht. At the time they drew 1-1, but Young PSV has developed well this season and so the pledges were the favorites at PSV Campus De Herdgang. Young PSV had the best chances, dominated and directed the match, but ends the season with a draw.
Dominant
At a very sunny training complex, Young PSV kicked off for the last time this season. In doing so, Ruud van Nistelrooy's men immediately made their intentions clear by not giving the opponent an inch. After a few minutes, the first big chance was for Simon Colyn. The Canadian was played the ball free just meters from goal, but he hit the goalkeeper. Defender Luis Felipe also had a chance. Twice he seemed to score with his head, but he hit the post. With so many chances, it had to happen sometime. Colyn put his head against a good cross from Johan Bakayoko. The goalkeeper could not redeem his fate, despite tapping the ball. Once FC Dordrecht came out dangerously via a counter. Livano Comenencia, however, intervened resolutely. With a slide he prevented Kjell Peersman from getting into action.
Flashback
A hard shot lands on the fists of Dordrecht goalkeeper Kiam Bossin. Bakayoko had once again turned away from his direct opponent, allowing him to shoot. Moments later, the frivolous outfielder delivered another cross to Colyn. Almost copied the goal from the first half, but this time his effort went over. Then FC Dordrecht got better in the match for a short phase. Suddenly Young PSV had to be careful not to score a goal against, but Peersman prevented this with a good save. Right back Cheick Touré also prevents the visitors from coming alongside with a great sliding tackle. Young PSV again gets a number of chances and just when the win seems within reach, things still go wrong. FC Dordrecht equalizes in the 90th minute. Just like the very first match this season, it ends 1-1.
