Young PSV - Telstar was a special duel. It was Haar's last match as Young PSV coach and the game was played at Philips Stadium. Thanks to goals by Mauro and Hattu, his team won over Telstar and will finish third in the league table.

No goals
Young PSV could have easily been ahead 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. Piroe had two big chances. Twice the striker failed to score. Mauro and Daverveld could also have scored via a distance shot and a header for Haar's team. After the strong opening phase, the game went back and forth without really big opportunities for either team. Just before half time the ball almost went in via Piroe. Goalkeeper Van der Maaten made a fine save.

Mauro shoots Young PSV to third spot
After halftime, Young PSV created less than in the first half. The visitors also had few to no chances. Both sides tried mainly via distance shots. A quarter of an hour before time Mauro had the chance to make it 1-0: the Brazilian could shoot in, but again the Telstar goalkeeper stood in the way. A few minutes later the midfielder had another opportunity, and now the ball went in. Just before time, Hattu made it 2-0. So trainer Haar said goodbye with a win.

Young PSV ends the season in third place. The highest final ranking ever for Young PSV!
