Young PSV won easily against FC Eindhoven on Monday night. Haar's team was too strong with 4-1. Teze scored his first goal in professional football. Before the game, Malen was awarded the Bronze Bull for biggest talent of the second period.
Three goals within ten minutes
Young PSV and city rival FC Eindhoven were evenly matched in the opening stages of the mini variant of the Lichtstadderby. Until the 24th minute, when Haar's team took the lead. A free kick by Rigo was missed by everyone and ended up at the feet of Teze, who easily shot in at the far post. It was his first goal in professional football. Just four minutes later it was another goal. Gudmundsson crossed beautifully to Gakpo, who tapped the ball in to double the lead. It didn't stop there, as another goal fell a few minutes later. Lundqvist shot in from distance. Keeper Swinkels seemed to misjudge the shot. Laursen had a great chance for the fourth goal just before halftime, but shot over in front of an open goal.
Goal Gudmundsson
Early in the second half, Young PSV had two very good opportunities to make their fourth of the evening. Gudmundsson ran alone towards the goalkeeper, but shot straight into Swinkels' hands. A few minutes later Laursen shot a volley from close range high over. After an hour of play the 4-0 still fell. Kortstam played the ball back too short to goalkeeper Swinkels, allowing Gudmundsson to pick up the ball and score. Ten minutes before time FC Eindhoven scored an extra goal via Lieder: 4-1. With the victory Young PSV climbed to the fifth place in the Jupiler League.
