Young PSV failed to win Friday night against Achilles'29. In Groesbeek the team of coach Pascal Jansen went down 3-2. At sportpark De Heikant, Sam Lammers and Andrija Lukovic provided the goals for Young PSV.

Starting place Maher, debut Verreth
At Young PSV, Maher and Verreth were on the starting lineup. Maher asked Cocu this week for playing time with the pledges, so that he could stay fit when an opportunity in the first team presents itself. Cocu found Maher's request positive, after which trainer Jansen of Young PSV decided to include Maher in his team from kickoff. In turn, first-year A-junior Verreth made his debut in the pledge team's starting lineup. Both made a few appearances before halftime, but could not prevent Young PSV from trailing 2-1 at halftime through goals by Popalzay and Thoone. Popalzay put the home team ahead within fifteen minutes by outplaying Van Vlerken and finishing with skill, while Thoone scored from close range ten minutes before halftime.

Nice goal by Lammers
Between the two goals Lammers scored the 1-1 after a very nice dribble by Maher. The striker was allowed to take his shot from outside the penalty area and did so with deadly precision. Defender Dingil dived into a hole and found an empty goal in front of him after a cross from Hendriks. While sliding, Dingil promoted the ball to goal: 3-1. In attacking terms Young PSV was powerless for a long time. The team did try, but alert goalkeeping by Ter Wielen prevented any major chances. The return of Laursen was a positive development. The Dane came on ten minutes before time and made his first minutes played since suffering an ankle injury in the summer. In the final minute Lukovic made it 3-2.
