On March 12 of this year, a power failure forced the game to be abandoned in the 25th minute. Over a month later, the stadium lighting was again a cause for delay, but the game was resumed ten minutes later than planned. After a short game with a crazy second half, Young PSV went home with a point.
Twenty minutes of football
Goalkeeper Kjell Peersman had plenty to do in the "first" minutes, as the home team did a lot of chasing down. Young PSV also briefly claimed a goal, when they fired at Alessandro Damen's goal with several distance shots. Yet it was the Hagenezen who managed to create the best chances. Clever saves by the very young Peersman kept Young PSV on their feet. In the end, no one would score in the first half. After twenty minutes, however, the promising team went into the break with a 1-0 lead because Johan Bakayoko had already scored in March.
Wonderful goal
After a short break, ADO Den Haag equalized in the 54th minute. Peersman could have prevented a counter-goal at first, but in the rebound he was beaten. However, Nigel Thomas quickly got that tie off the scoreboard. With one move he outplayed two defenders, after which he was unrelenting, a particularly nice goal by the outfielder. Young PSV then had several chances to extend the lead, but it was the home team who scored. After this crazy phase with three goals at rapid pace, Young PSV closed ranks. They fought for the point and eventually took it home deservedly.
