Psv U21 lost 5-1 to SC Cambuur in Leeuwarden. The leader of the Keuken Kampioen Divisie proved too big for the Eindhoven pledges. Jeremy Antonisse scored on behalf of Young PSV, it was his first goal for the promising team.

Early lead not enough
The match began with a dream start for Young PSV. After five minutes of play, Jeremy Antonisse was very cleverly played free. The outside player cleverly ran away, came face to face with the Frisian goalkeeper and coolly rounded off with the help of the inside of the post, his first goal for Young PSV. Fedde Leysen also looked close to scoring his first goal for the team, but from close range he headed just wide. It was his first starting place for the PSV UMPs. Maxime Delanghe also showed his best side. From about fifteen meters he had a free shot towards his goal, but with a good reflex he kept the net empty. Unfortunately, the lead did not last. Again the home team came up with a shooting chance from close range and this time Delanghe was hopeless, 1-1. The lead was almost back within a minute through Joel Piroe, but the striker poked several inches wide. Later, it was again Delanghe who showed his worth. With a clever reflex, he managed to block a good shot. Young PSV tried to regain the lead. Nigel Thomas made another fine attempt ten minutes before halftime with a hard shot on the goalkeeper's fists. Unfortunately, the effort was again for the home team. Robert Mühren was cleverly played free and this time Delanghe was hopeless. Less than five minutes later, Mühren again managed to get around the defense of Young PSV. At the stroke of half-time the lead was in the hands of the home team.

From bad to worse
Young PSV had something to make up for in the second game. A good chance came for Mathias Kjølø. He delivered a clever cross to Thomas that was just a little too high to head in. Antonisse also went for his second goal, but his shot was blocked. Finally, things went from bad to worse. A Frisian cross arrived exactly at the feet of Cambuur striker Jamie Jacobs, 4-1. Kjølø looked to make up for it, but a Frisian defender threw himself in front of his shot at the last moment. Piroe also tested the reflexes of the Frisian goalkeeper. After a clever pass from Mees Kreekels, he shot at the goalkeeper from close range. After several good chances, it was the home team again with a goal. From an awkward angle they shot hard and high for the fifth Frisian goal of the evening. A comeback was impossible, 5-1 was the final score.
