PSV players Nina Nijstad, Veerle Buurman, Gwyneth Hendriks have debuted for the Dutch national team. Nina and Gwyneth debuted against Indonesia (15-0) and Veerle started against Denmark (2-1) in the starting lineup. With that, four PSV players came into action for the Orange Lionesses, as Renate Jansen made minutes in both matches.

And the foursome showed positively. Nina started Friday in the starting lineup and immediately repaid that confidence with two goals. Renate entered the field in the sixtieth minute and made a hat trick within half an hour. And Gwyneth also got playing time.

Only eighteen-year-old Veerle Buurman did not get any minutes in that first match, but against top country Denmark she started in the starting line-up. And with success: she played with guts and therefore drew praise from national coach Andries Jonker afterwards. "Veerle played great. It couldn't have been any better. She did everything we asked and showed why we think she is a great talent. She is knocking on the door and can have a huge future in international football," he said of the central defender.

Junior Lionesses
PSV was also strongly represented at the Young Oranje. Zera Hulswitt, Robine Lacroix, Emma Frijns and Fleur Stoit all four got minutes played in the match against Sweden's peers, which was their debut for the latter two. Robine already had that honor a few days earlier against England. Both matches ended in a draw due to a Dutch goal in injury time. Lisan Alkemade was on the bench both matches.

Belgium
At Belgium, Lore Jacobs and Nicky Evrard were on the bench for two games. The Red Flames won from and played equal against Greece 5-0 and 0-0. And with that the relief in the camp of the southern neighbors was great. After all, they are only one step away from a ticket to the 2025 European Championship. Only a duel with Ukraine still stands in the way of participation. The Orange Lionesses are already qualified for the European Championships.
