PSV is the only Dutch club with a positive balance against Ajax. Of the 129 duels between them, PSV won 53, played a draw 25 times and lost 50 times. In addition, PSV is the only club with more than 30 wins over the Amsterdammers.

Coming out of the winter break strong
The past two seasons PSV played the first game after the winter break tied. The four seasons before that, the club won the first game of the calendar year each time.

PSV stands at 4,999 goals in the Eredivisie. With one goal in Amsterdam, the milestone of 5,000 has been reached. Coen Dillen scored the first Eredivisie goal for PSV in the home game against MVV on Sept. 2, 1956.

Four in a row
For the first time under Roger Schmidt, PSV can win four Eredivisie games in a row. The last time the club managed to do so was between August and September 2019.

Götze knows what scoring is against Ajax
Mario Götze has already played against Ajax twice with Borussia Dortmund. Both times the German team won (1-0 in Dortmund and 1-4 in Amsterdam). At the time, the PSV player was directly involved in three of the five Dortmund goals. He scored once and provided two assists.

Eliminated by Schmidt
Ajax already has experience with a team managed by Schmidt. In 2013-2014, he eliminated the capitalists in the Europa League with RB Salzburg by winning 3-0 at home and winning 1-3 away.

Poor balance Ten Hag
Ten times before Erik ten Hag faced PSV as a coach. Seven times he lost. Against no other Eredivisie club did he lose more often.
