Heracles Almelo will be looking for a win against PSV during the resumption of the Eredivisie. In the last five matches, Heracles recorded only one win. The last four home matches, however, were all won by coach John Stegeman's team. Heracles currently occupies 11th place in the league with 22 points from 18 matches.

Pelupessy departure
Star keeper Joey Pelupessy left Heracles for Sheffield Wednesday in England during the winter transfer period. Pelupessy has featured in all matches this season.

Man in form
Reuven Niemeijer is the man in form at the Heraclieden. The midfielder was in the starting lineup in all previous eighteen games and he scored no less than seven goals. In the preparation for the 2016-2017 season, Niemeijer was allowed to come on trial at the club from Almelo. Before that, the now 22-year-old Niemeijer played as an amateur at Quick'20 from Oldenzaal.

Only ever home win over PSV
On Sept. 9, 2015, Heracles recorded its only ever home win in the Eredivisie over PSV (W1-G4-V12). Luuk de Jong put PSV ahead, but Mark-Jan Fledderus and Thomas Bruns edged Heracles to a 2-1 victory.
