The final preliminary round of the Champions League seems to be in sight after PSV recorded a big win over FC Midtjylland. With a goal and some good actions, Mario Götze was one of the tastemakers on the pitch: "We created all the chances and we didn't let any goals through."

Energy from the fans
Götze took the 2-0 himself and in the 3-0 the midfielder played a big role. Good teamwork by PSV, he himself saw: "I'm extremely happy. We played a good first half. In the second we could have been more efficient, but the chances were ours. To get better ourselves, it is important that the team plays well, and we showed that today. Also, the full stadium gave us energy. You can see we enjoy it and the fans do too."

Compliments Obispo
Head coach Roger Schmidt is also in good spirits about the result. He is looking forward to the games ahead: "We played a good game for ninety minutes. We scored three great goals. In the diptych against Galatasaray SK we also played well and I am happy that we kept the level." For Armando Obispo, it was his debut in European football. Schmidt believes the defender deserves compliments for his performance, "He has shown himself well in training and in friendly matches and he is now crowning that with a great match at a high level."

No major weakness
Next Tuesday awaits the return in Denmark, where PSV must get the job done. But first there is a meeting with Ajax for the Johan Cruijff-schaal. "We have to use this moment to take a prize," said the Head Coach. "We know we have chances and we are going to do our best. The next game is always the most important. There is always something to improve, but today we showed we don't have a big weakness."
