Young PSV won the away match against FC Den Bosch 2-1. During a debutant fest it was Fode Fofana who claimed the lead role and gave himself a dream debut. The striker managed to hit the target both before and after halftime.
Enthusiastic start
Young PSV got off to an enthusiastic start and Fofana put the youthful team ahead after only nine minutes. The striker remained extremely calm and slid the ball into the goal next to goalkeeper Sikking. After the opening goal, Peter Uneken's team kept control, but was unable to convert the superiority into goals. In the last few minutes of the first half, the hosts entered the game a bit more, but PSV debutant Spenkelink kept his goal clean.
Handsome victory
After halftime FC Den Bosch seemed to have recovered and the blue and white were increasingly to be found in PSV's half. Yet it was the Eindhoven players who scored in the 66th minute. After a quick break through the middle, it was again Fofana who found the net. The home team kept knocking on the door and the resulted in the 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. Despite the high pressure from the Boschenaren, Uneken's team stood firm and took the three points in 's-Hertogenbosch.
