PSV will play the return in the second preliminary round of the Champions League against Galatasaray SK tomorrow night. Roger Schmidt's team is defending a 5-1 lead in Turkey. ''A good starting position, but we are only halfway there.''
The duel between Galatasaray and PSV, due to maintenance at the Türk Telekom Stadium, will be played at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium. Some 8,400 spectators will be in attendance, shouting the home team forward, so Olivier Boscagli expects a tough match tomorrow. ''Last week we took the first step, but we will have to play with the same intensity and focus as last week. We know Galatasaray are good and ready for it.''
Schmidt also knows it's not played yet. ''It's only halftime in this duel. Galatasaray is a club with a great history and a great coach who I appreciate very much for what he has done for Turkish football. We know they are good and we have to come out strong again.
New partner
Whereas last season Boscagli often had Jordan Teze as his companion in defense, in the first official game of this season the experienced Ramalho was next to him. ''It's nice to have this new energy in the team. André is very experienced, also at the European level. I am happy to play with this kind of player and learn a lot from him.''
Whether they once again form the central duo we will know tomorrow. The match between Galatasaray and PSV can be seen live on RTL7.
