For the first time since the 2015-2016 season, PSV has qualified for the eighth final of the UEFA Champions League. Head coach Peter Bosz 's team battled back from a 2-0 deficit against Spain's Sevilla FC to a 2-3 victory. Because Arsenal FC won over RC Lens, PSV is assured of a spot in the knockout phase of the prestigious tournament.
Spanish defender Sergio Ramos put Sevilla FC ahead in Andalusia and Youssef En-Nesyri doubled the score. The red card for the home side after more than an hour of play tilted the match. Through goals by Ismael Saibari, an own goal by the opponent and a late goal by Ricardo Pepi the three points went to PSV. The celebration was great.
