Captain Denzel Dumfries was disappointed with his team's level of play afterwards. Against Heracles Almelo, PSV did not get beyond a 1-1 draw and Dumfries said the team had themselves to blame for that.

Energy
"We started the game very badly and barely won any second balls," Dumfries analyzed cold off the pitch in Almelo. "Then you call it on yourself." As for an explanation, the captain could only guess. "I think we were not there with our heads. It was weak. This should not happen to us. In the second half we did bring a bit more energy, but overall it was too little."

Changes and penalty moment
Faced with the question of whether it was due to the changes in the team - compared to last Thursday, PSV started with four others - Dumfries replied dismissively. "No, that shouldn't matter. We train with each other every day and know each other's qualities," said the captain, who concluded by saying something about Heracles Almelo's penalty kick when asked. "I think Nick (Viergever, ed.) hit the ball with his shoulder. No hands."
