National coach Sarina Wiegman has selected 25 players for the upcoming two practice matches of the Orange Lionesses ahead of the European Championship. PSV players Christ, Folkertsma and Lewerissa have been selected.
PSV'ers Angela Christ, Sisca Folkertsma and Vanity Lewerissa will not be able to reminisce with their teammates for long on a possible cup win. Next Monday, the trio may report to Zeist for the practice campaign leading up to the European Championships.
Preparation
On Friday, June 9, at 6:30 p.m., the Dutch will play Japan at the Rat Verlegh stadium in Breda. De Adelaarshorst in Deventer will be the venue for the Netherlands-Austria game on Tuesday, June 13 (start at 8:45 p.m.). Orange is in preparation for the European Championship, which will take place in the Netherlands from July 16 to August 6. On July 16, the Orange women open WEURO2017 with the match against Norway. Over 19,000 fans already bought a ticket for this game in the Galgenwaard in Utrecht. In addition to Norway, Denmark and neighboring Belgium are the Orange's opponents in Pool A.
