Christ, Folkertsma and Lewerissa will represent PSV Women at the European Championship in their home country. The trio is part of national coach Sarina Wiegman's final national team selection.

National coach Sarina Wiegman today informed the players' group about the final EK selection. PSV'ers Christ, Folkertsma and Lewerissa can start preparing for the European Championship in their home country that starts July 16. Kuijpers and Moorrees are part of the stand by list.

Orange's stand by list includes: Marjolijn van den Bighelaar (Ajax), Merel van Dongen (Ajax), Danique Kerkdijk (FC Twente), Jeslynn Kuijpers (PSV), Barbara Lorsheyd (FC Twente), Myrthe Moorrees (PSV), Marthe Munsterman (FC Twente), Paulina Quaye (Ajax) and Siri Worm (FC Twente).

The final EC list must be submitted to UEFA by July 5. The Orange Lionesses will continue their preparation on Tuesday, June 20, with three three-day training activities after which the team will start its final preparations for the European Championship on July 2.

During WEURO 2017, the Netherlands is assigned to Pool A along with Belgium, Denmark and Norway. The Orange kicks off Sunday, July 16 in Utrecht with the opening match against Norway. A total of 16 countries in seven playing cities will compete for the European title from July 16 through August 6. All group matches of the Dutch team are sold out.
