PSV played a 0-0 draw against FC Emmen at De Herdgang sports complex. Winger Maxime Lestienne made his comeback and played the full 90 minutes.

Lestienne's return
With Maxime Lestienne in the starting lineup, Young PSV wanted to recover from last Monday's defeat against Sparta Rotterdam. In the first half, the game went up and down. The first chance of the match was for the team from Emmen: after thirteen minutes of play, ten Voorde had the chance to put Young PSV behind. He shot just over, keeping the score level. Only a minute later, Young PSV had the chance to take the lead, but Gudmundsson fired a treacherous shot just wide. Despite the predominance of Young PSV in the first half, the next chances were again for FC Emmen, which was typical of the first part of the match. Ten Voorde, however, failed to score twice. Lestienne and Bergwijn were able to find each other well with some excellent one-twos. The good final pass was lacking so there were no big chances. Half-time score: 0-0.

Sloppy in the final pass
The first danger in the second half, as in the first, came from the team from Emmen. Van Osch saved the effort from Gyasi, who was sent away by ten Voorde. After that chance, Young PSV took over the initiative and went on the hunt for the first goal. Young PSV became dangerous on a number of occasions, partly thanks to a good playing Lestienne. Time after time the team from Eindhoven was sloppy in the final pass which prevented Young PSV from scoring. In the final minutes of the match, Beto da Silva was allowed to try to shoot Young PSV to victory. That did not happen, leaving Young PSV and FC Emmen without a goal. Maxime Lestienne played the full 90 minutes in Pascal Jansen's team.
