Psv U21 recorded their second win in a row in the Jupiler League. After a 3-2 victory over RKC Waalwijk last week, it was 0-1 in Friesland against SC Cambuur thanks to a goal by Laros Duarte.

Back and forth chances
In a Cambuurstadion well-filled with over 7,000 supporters, Young PSV had the first big chance of the match after about 20 minutes after some probing by both sides. Donyell Malen was served up to size by Matthias Verreth, who escaped after a trick, but gave Cambuur goalie Cummins the chance to turn his header away. SC Cambuur mainly created danger from standard situations, often kicked by Smeets. The same Smeets was the closest to a goal on behalf of the home side before halftime. Van Osch stood in the way of a Frisian 1-0.

Duarte hits goal
After a messy start, they did score in the second half. Laros Duarte scored the 0-1 on behalf of Young PSV just under a quarter of an hour later. The midfielder had all the time he needed on the edge of the penalty area to take a shot and found the goal with a hard, dry bang after he had just outplayed his direct opponent. Not too much later Peersman had the 1-1 draw on behalf of SC Cambuur, but clear of Van Osch the striker rammed the ball onto the outside of the post. Unyielding defensive work by Haar's team helped secure the win.
