PSV1

PSV will meet a traditional top-3 club on Sunday for the last time this season. The gap between the two teams is currently eight points. A win would strengthen PSV's position in second place. Feyenoord can move past Vitesse and AZ with three points.

Mutual encounters
It is the 130th time PSV has faced Feyenoord. The balance falls in favor of the Rotterdammers (45G-31G-53V). With that, the traditional top-three has a three-way tie. PSV won more often from Ajax, Ajax won more often from Feyenoord, and Feyenoord won more often from PSV. On Oct. 24, 2010, PSV won 10-0 from Feyenoord. Leroy Fer was the only player from both selections. He was substituted after 14 minutes.

Feyenoord won once of its last 10 away games, in all competitions. PSV has not won against Feyenoord or Ajax for 12 games in a row. The last time PSV beat Feyenoord was on Feb. 25, 2018. Then PSV won 3-1 at De Kuip. Last January 31, Feyenoord won by those same figures from PSV after scoring three goals in the first half.

PSV's young wingers .
Noni Madueke (19) returned to the lines last Sunday after a few weeks of injury. As a substitute, he decided the game with Fortuna Sittard (3-1). It was his fifth goal as a substitute. The most of any Eredivisie player. His total thus stands at seven goals. The last teenager to score more in one season for PSV was Arjen Robben. In the 2002-2003 season, he scored 12.

PSV has never lost a game with Cody Gakpo (16W-4G-0V) this season. In the 18 matches without the wing attacker, it won nine times, drew twice and lost seven times.

Dick Advocaat
Feyenoord is under the leadership of Dick Advocaat. The coach also served in two different periods as Head Coach of PSV (1994-1998 & 2012-2013). With Advocaat at the helm, PSV won the national title and cup once and the supercup three times. As a visiting coach in Eindhoven, he won once. He did so with Glasgow Rangers in the Champions League on Sept. 28, 1999. Of the six Eredivisie games that the Hagenees visited, he won none (0W-1G-5V).
