Young

With a greatly changed starting lineup, Young PSV took to the match field for the second time this week. With at least five different players than on Monday, it was up to the promise to win for the third time in a row. Something that looked like it was going to happen for a long time.

Setback
After twenty-five minutes, neither team had really become dangerous yet when Jenson Seelt got the ball on his head unhappily at a corner kick. Vincent Müller, who did not expect it, was no longer in a position to save. Moments later, Damian Timan had to leave the field injured. Things were not going well for Ruud van Nistelrooy's team. The game remained in balance for the rest of the first half, which also meant that nobody was able to create major chances.

Comeback
That was different in the second half. Mathijs Tielemans saw his chance when a dropped ball fell at his feet. His long-range shot was well placed and he left the goalkeeper defenseless. Fifteen minutes later Johan Bakayoko immediately played his direct opponent out with a good approach. After a long sprint he cut inside and his finish was sublime. Psv U21 had not been in trouble throughout the second half, so it looked like it was going to win the game. Just before time, however, those hopes went up in smoke when the visitors reacted attentively to a cross. That was all and so the points were shared.
