According to head coach Phillip Cocu, his team's victory on Saturday night was justified. After a scoreless first half, his team proved 2-0 too strong for ADO Den Haag, which snatched points from PSV earlier this season. "In the second half we stepped up a gear and in the end won the game well deservedly," Cocu said immediately after the match.

'Compliments for the team'
At the press conference at Philips Stadium, Cocu then praised his team's maturity. "We followed up Wednesday's match well. We looked for opportunities, without opening it up at the back, and as the game went on we increased the pressure. Sometimes you have to wait an hour or seventy minutes for a goal. We did that tonight." Cocu additionally indicated that he feels his team has confidence at the moment. "The confidence in each other and in the team is high. We have so many players who can score a goal. In the end, we achieved a nice victory today, especially after last Wednesday. I complimented the team on that."

Fraser: PSV simply too mature
ADO coach Henk Fraser spoke in the same words. He hoped his team could stay in the match for a long time, saw that it somewhat succeeded, but felt afterwards that a result was never really in the cards. "What shall I say? Of course we saw the game against Atlético so we knew what to expect. We wanted to stay in the game as long as possible. Who knows, PSV might then get nervous and the crowd might start grumbling. However, that didn't happen at all. I think PSV is simply too mature. They don't panic and on that basis they are the rightful winner."
