Phillip Cocu could not hide his pride afterwards. After a difficult opening phase, the head coach saw PSV tactically outclass Utrecht and win 7-1 in the Galgenwaard. "Utrecht didn't know how to find the solution at one point. We played it out the right way," he told the catacombs.

Growing
"We grew in the match," Cocu analyzed afterwards at the press conference. "In the beginning of the match we struggled with the running moments, we couldn't pin them down like we wanted to. But as the match progressed that went better and better. The team picked up our instructions perfectly."

"I am proud of the team," he continued. "The players did a great job executing the pre-conceived tactical plan. We really played to our strengths today. 1-7 is cause for a smile in the locker room. We can enjoy this for a while."

'Never experienced before'
Jürgen Locadia could barely gelover his eyes. "I have never experienced this before," he said with the match ball under his arm at FOX Sports. "I'm happy to prove myself as a striker this season. I used to not have the hunger to score more if I had already scored a goal. Then the pressure kind of went off. Now I just wanted to score more often. Everyone insists on that too."
