Phillip Cocu had words of praise for midfielder Adam Maher afterwards. The international was given a starting place against SDC Putten and rewarded that confidence with two goals.
Drive
"Adamwas very good today," Cocu thought. "The drive and will he showed today, but also in training, is very good. He rewarded it with a nice goal," the head coach said after the 4-0 win.
Cocu was less positive about other things. "We didn't press on after the 1-0. Our crosses were often much too hard or too high. I wasn't satisfied with that. And you know that at 1-0 it always remains a game."
Criticism of forward
Cocu was not satisfied with the forward either. "The trio (Pereiro, Lammers and Locadia, ed.) was not good today. From a guy like Lammers, for example, you can expect more than what he has shown the past two duels. He can do better. With this experience, he has to get going."
