Club doctor Rolf Timmermans will step down from PSV on July 1. He had been part of the medical staff since 2011.

'They were wonderful years'
Timmermans: "In recent years I have very much enjoyed doing the sports medical supervision of the A-selection, the youth training and the women's team of PSV. They were wonderful years with, of course, great sporting results. After six years it is now time for something else. I want to be able to focus more on regular patient care at St. Anna TopSupport and am grateful to the club for allowing me to make this choice in good consultation with them." The sports doctor's personal circumstances (Timmermans will soon become a father) also played a role in this.

Rolf Timmermans will focus entirely on further strengthening sports care at medical sports health center Topsupport after July 1. PSV and St. Anna TopSupport are looking into the succession of PSV's club doctor in the coming months.

PSV technical manager Marcel Brands thanked Timmermans for his efforts in the past years. "Rolf has always done his job with maximum dedication and was a pleasant colleague. We wish him all the best for the future."
