Young PSV kept a point from the encounter with TOP Oss. Peter Uneken's team took the lead through a penalty kick but an Osse counter goal undid this.
Penalty kick
The first shot on goal came from the away team, a roller from TOP Oss slid into the hands of Yanick van Osch. Young PSV came in front of goal through Noni Madueke who managed to get a cross into the feet of Sekou Sidibe, but the latter did not get the ball under control in time. Yorbe Vertessen came even closer. After accelerating, he had a shooting chance but the ball went into the side netting. Via a free kick the Oxen players got the lead, but it did not yield a goal. Ten minutes before halftime, PSV scored the opening goal. Madueke was floored in the penalty area and was awarded a penalty kick. He did not fail from eleven meters and shot the 1-0.
Equalizer
In the second half, the first danger came again from TOP Oss. But defensive work by Young PSV and an Osse miss kept the home side in the lead. The equalizer hung in the air for a while, and fifteen minutes into the second half the counter goal came as well. Former PSV player Olivier Rommens took a direct free kick and left Van Osch without a chance. Substitute Mees Kreekels came incredibly close to regaining the lead. A corner kick from Cyril Ngonge landed at his feet but his shot went just wide. In the closing minutes Vertessen made himself heard, a placed shot found the gloves of the Osse goalie. A goal was in the air for Young PSV in the final minutes, but it remained a draw.
