Saturday, PSV resumes the Eredivisie with a home match against NEC. Visitors should expect crowds in the city center. In addition, the Brainport FANzone is open again.
PSV already won over FC Utrecht (2-0), Vitesse (1-3) and RKC Waalwijk (0-4) this season. With nine points from three games, PSV is second. NEC is in 13th place with four points. Last season's home game ended in a convincing 3-0 victory for PSV. The match is under the direction of referee Joey Kooij.
Crowds downtown
Those visiting the Philips Stadium on Saturday should expect crowds in the city center. There, the liberation festival "Liberation 040" takes place, to celebrate the liberation of the city on September 18, 1944. This festival takes place on the September 18 square and lasts until 01:00. It could be that access roads, parking lots and public transportation are extra busy.
Special action
PSV kicks off at 8 p.m. against the Nijmegen formation. They will do so in a unique anniversary jersey, in honor of the 110-year sponsorship commitment between PSV and Philips. This is the longest running partnership worldwide, and has been crowned by the Guinness Book of Records. To celebrate, Philips returns once on the chest of a special PSV shirt. This is still available in a number of sizes in the PSV FANstore. To do so, click on the link below!
