Psv U21 hopes to defend its leading position in the Jupiler League tonight. After away games against title contenders SC Cambuur, VVV-Venlo and NAC Breda among others, coach Pascal Jansen's team is proud to be at the top of the league table and will take on FC Dordrecht tonight. Most prominent name in the Psv U21 selection is Armando Obispo. The 17-year-old PSV-trained defender could make his debut in professional football.
Siem de Jong
Obispo, born March 5, 1999, has played in PSV's youth academy since the F youth and is a selection member of PSV Under 19 this season. Last Tuesday, he played 90 minutes in that team's Youth League match against Atlético Madrid and also wore the captain's armband. In addition to the central defender, Hidde Jurjus and Simon Poulsen also join the pledges. Siem de Jong also joins Pascal Jansen's squad, which kicks off at 8 p.m. at De Herdgang. For his part, Peruvian Beto da Silva returns from a head injury he suffered during the preparations. Matthias Verreth, on the other hand, is struggling with a minor injury and will not be here tonight.
FC Dordrecht
FC Dordrecht dangles at the bottom of the Jupiler League rankings after six rounds of play. With three narrow defeats and three draws, the Dordrecht players are still only trailing Achilles '29. A hard laugh for the team that played in the Eredivisie two seasons ago and won the last meeting with Young PSV comfortably (4-0).
