The reunion with many old acquaintances could be a special milestone for PSV. After all, PSV can win from Vitesse for the 50th time. No team won from the Arnhemers in the Eredivisie as often as PSV.

Earlier this season, PSV beat Vitesse 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Guus Til (48'). Of the other 74 meetings between PSV and Vitesse, 48 were won. In eighteen cases there was no winner and eight times the victory went to the Arnhemmers. PSV won no less than sixteen of the last eighteen duels.

Goal-fest
Last season, PSV was too strong for Vitesse in the GelreDome. In convincing fashion, PSV won 5-0. Eran Zahavi (4'), Mauro Júnior (24'), Cody Gakpo (28'), Carlos Vinicius (62') and Ritsu Doan (88') were the celebrated men on PSV's side. Of those five goal scorers, only Mauro Júnior is still under contract with PSV.

Fouls
Vitessespant along with Go Ahead Eagles take the crown as clubs with the most fouls committed. PSV, which made more than 50 fewer fouls, is the leader at the other extreme.

Excelling at a young age
Xavi Simons can shoot himself to the top of a remarkable list with one more goal. Since Ronaldo, he can become the first teenager with more than 12 Eredivisie goals for PSV in one season.

Reunion for many
At current Vitesse, two players have PSV pasts: Marco van Ginkel (118 duels), Nicolas Isimat-Mirin (130 duels) and Davy Pröpper (105 duels). We will also meet Phillip Cocu, who was head coach of PSV for over five seasons, this Sunday. He became champion three times with PSV.

Yellow-black past
For Patrick van Aanholt and Armando Obispo, next Sunday's duel counts as a return to the GelreDome. Van Aanholt played 67 Eredivisie matches for Vitesse between 2012 and 2014. Obispo was loaned out for one year to the Arnheimers in 2019-2020.
