The duel at the Kras Stadion is scheduled next Sunday. Both teams are strong holders in their own stadium. Both PSV and FC Volendam are among the four teams in the Eredivisie with the most points in home games after the winter break.

Earlier this season, PSV won at home against FC Volendam by large numbers. Cody Gakpo was the big man in PSV's seven-hit win against FC Volendam. He made a hat trick. Xavi Simons also excelled with two goals. The first goal of that match was on the scoreboard after only twenty seconds.

Good papers in hand
Fifteen times PSV emerged victorious and five times FC Volendam won. Five times the game ended in a draw. The goal difference also speaks volumes. 61 goals for PSV against 24 goals for FC Volendam.

Goal-rich season
PSV scored at least four goals in ten of their 28 Eredivisie games this season. This century, they did so only twice more often in a full Eredivisie season: 12 times in 2004/2005 and in 2012/2013.

Rising talent
Xavi Simons is shared top scorer in the Eredivisie (14). At 20, he can become the youngest top scorer in the Eredivisie since Ronaldo in 1994/1995. Also, the away game in Volendam will be Simons' last Eredivisie match as a teenager.

Red and white touch
Current head coach of FC Volendam Wim Jonk, captured the national title with PSV in the 1996/1997 season. He also won the TOTO KNVB Beker and the Johan Cruijff Schaal. Ruud van Nistelooij played one international game together with Jonk.

Fine series
PSV is unbeaten in its last 10 Eredivisie matches (W7-G3-V0). After the 4-2 win at NEC, PSV can win consecutive away games in the Eredivisie this time for the second time this season.

Luuk de Jong (103) needs two more goals to equal Mateja Kežman on PSV's all-time top scorer list. He can reach double figures for the seventh time in a single Eredivisie season with his nine goals.
