Three weeks after the game at Philips Stadium, PSV is preparing for the return against Borussia Dortmund. It is the fifth time the two teams have faced off, but never before have the stakes been as high as in this edition.
On Feb. 20, Borussia Dortmund took the lead in the 27th minute through former PSV player Donyell Malen. In the 56th minute, Luuk de Jong shot PSV past side from 11 meters. It remained 1-1, so the decision will fall 150 kilometers from the Philips Stadium on Wednesday night.
Balance
The last match in Germany dates back to 2016. In the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich faced coach Phillip Cocu's team and no points were gained there. In Eindhoven, PSV lost narrowly 1-2 and in Munich the encounter ended in a 4-1 loss.
