The international period is behind us and the weekend is just around the corner. That means PSV can get back to work in the Eredivisie. Next Saturday, Head Coach Peter Bosz 's team will visit FC Twente.

The Grolsch Veste has cost PSV quite a few points over the past four years. In fact, during that period they drew three times and even lost last year (2-1). Guus Til accounted for the only PSV goal back then. Incidentally, that was the only defeat in the last 18 duels with FC Twente.
PSV did better business at home. On Feb. 26 of this year, they won 3-1 at Philips Stadium. Fábio Silva (9'), Luuk de Jong (57') and Xavi Simons (74') struck the goal on behalf of PSV.

'The hell of Enschede'
FC Twente's stadium is known as the "Hell of Enschede. That name fits the statistics. The Tukkers last lost a home game in 2021-2022. FC Twente is the only team in Europe's top six leagues with not one defeat since that season.

PSV in form
It has long been no secret that PSV is in tremendous form. The first 12 league games were all won. FC Twente, meanwhile, is not without merit. The Tukkers are in third place with 27 points. Joseph Oosting's team had a thunderous start, but played three draws in the last five games.

Goal difference and records
The last game in the Eredivisie dates back to Nov. 12, when PEC Zwolle visited Philips Stadium. PSV won 4-0, giving the club a new league record. Namely, it scored at least three goals in eleven consecutive Eredivisie matches.

So PSV scores a lot of goals, but history shows that a solid defense is at least as important. Fortunately, the statistics at the back are as impressive as those up front. Walter Benítez has only been passed five times in the Eredivisie. The fewest of any club in the league. It contributes to a goal difference of plus forty.

Peter Bosz Can Saturday match Mark van Bommel as the coach with the biggest win streak since his tenure at a club. Mark van Bommel won the first thirteen league matches in the 2018-2019 season.

Alumni
The club from Enschede features no fewer than five players with a PSV past. Joshua Brenet (109 duels), Michal Sadílek (27), Przemyslaw Tyton (24), Lars Unnerstall (15) and Mathias Kjølø (1). Joshua, Michal, Mathias are all from PSV Academy. At PSV, Luuk de Jong and Joël Drommel have a past at FC Twente.
