As always, in this section you will read all about PSV's upcoming match. Friday night the main squad takes on FC Twente and that game marks the beginning of a new tradition; a tradition in which we remember deceased PSV supporters.

At attendance, the players wear a special shirt with names of deceased PSV supporters on it. Together they are 1968 names that they wear close to the heart and close to the field. Read more about this iniative here, which came about partly thanks to the efforts of the sounding board group.

Now back to the football facts you are used to from this column: FC Twente is fifth in the Eredivisie with 28 points. The team led by Joseph Oosting only gave up 14 goals this season. The second fewest in the Eredivisie after PSV (11).

Last season, this exact affair seemed to end in a draw for a long time. It wasn't until the 97th minute that Ricardo Pepi decided the game, putting the 1-0 on the scoreboard. In the national league, the mutual result at Philips Stadium is very positive. Out of 57 matches, PSV was the strongest 35 times and lost only four times. Should PSV also manage to score in this game, it will be a special milestone for the 4,000 in the Philips Stadium - a special milestone.

Top scorers

The match is also a direct duel between the two top scorers of the Eredivisie this season. Sem Steijn already stands at 10 goals this season, while last season's goal scorer, Ricardo, has scored nine goals. The American needed only 533 minutes to do so, though, compared to Steijn's 1041 minutes.

Old acquaintances

A few old acquaintances from PSV play at FC Twente. Michal Sadílek, who played 40 games for the Eindhoven outfit, has recovered from injury and made his first minutes since May two weeks ago. Mathias Kjølø also has a past with PSV, although he never appeared in action for the main squad. PSV-trained Sam Lammers has been playing in Enschede since this summer. And FC Twente goalkeepers Lars Unnerstall and Przemysław Tytoń are also familiar faces at the Philips Stadium.

On the other hand, PSV also have players with a past at FC Twente. Joël Drommel played 136 games for the club from Enschede before making the switch to Eindhoven, while Luuk de Jong played 121 games for the Tukkers.
