  1. Match report

Another beautiful sunny autumn day to play. The points are needed and also Vitesse would like to take the points to be sure of the champions' pool.
Maybe the arrival of Philip Cocu to the training will have its effect, but already after three minutes a misunderstanding in the rearguard causes the number nine of Vitesse to shoot the 0-1. But this time we don't let our heads drop. We continue as we have agreed. Within fifteen minutes the mistake is repaired. Sam intercepts a ball from the Vitesse defense and passes on time and with the right speed to Martijn, who takes the ball well and scores the equalizer. We play businesslike and get less chances than in previous games but this time we are effective. After about half an hour Martijn goes well along the line and his pass to Ramon knows how to appreciate it and we are 2-1. Was fff ago. We want more. We want three points and then a goal difference is not enough we know from our own experience. Just before half time Sam and Martijn set up a good attack and Jaell was the last one to get the ball over the line. Halftime 3-1.
After the break Vitesse pressed on but we were also dangerous ourselves but unfortunately we were unable to score any more goals. So the final score is 3-1. As we said last week, the beauty of the past is that it is over.
We move up a place in the league table and maybe this victory is the doping for the upcoming period we are going into. Tuesday against VFL Wolfsburg. Even then the three points are actually an obligation if we still want to compete in the Youth Champions League. Then next Saturday PEC Zwolle is the next opponent in the league and there too we need the three points.
And again, success comes when you do things you believe in.
Let's forget about the last time quickly because the saying goes: If you are in the pit, don't dig any further.
So men on to this week and good luck.
    Goodbye.
