The report

The preparation for the match was of a high standard, the positional play was well executed and that promised something for the match. Both teams started to put direct pressure on the opponent, but after 5 minutes N.E.C. left the game to PSV. The team from Nijmegen dropped back on their own half and that gave PSV the first chance to score. Unfortunately that did not result in a goal. PSV kept pushing to get a goal, but it did not work because the defense of the guests was good. In the 24th minute N.E.C. got a staff kick, but it was not used so the score remained 0-0.

The second handle started well for PSV, but after 15 minutes PSV dropped back slightly. This was quickly picked up again. Just working hard does not reward you with a goal, you also need luck to surprise the opponent. Thus the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
