PSV O15 waltzes over Quick Boys

Finally the O15 of PSV got to play an official match again. The corona virus and the summer recess were the reason for a very long period without matches "for real." The preparation was fine for the team of trainer Vincent Heilmann. They convincingly dealt with successively OHL Leuven O15 (11-0), STVV O15 (11-0), Lommel SK O16 (2-0) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-5).

But today the cup match against Quick Boys. A nice draw for at least one PSV O15 player. Because Sven van der Plas was part of today's opponent last year.

Before the match, Sven received a nice memento of his time with Quick Boys. An action photo of him in the derby against Katwijk will undoubtedly find a nice spot in the Van der Plas home. Very thoughtful of the guests who possibly tried to enforce some goodwill this way.

PSV showed little leniency today, however, and put that into effect by scoring the opening goal after only a minute and a half when Eus Waayers headed in a corner from Raf van de Riet: 1-0. Ten minutes later, the same duo was responsible for the 2-0. A cross from Raf ended up at the feet of Eus, who this time scored with his foot. Before halftime, PSV managed to find the net twice more. Both times it was Sami Bouhoudane who scored. The 3-0 started with a great opening from Sven van der Plas to Raf who passed the ball to Sami who headed in an excellent cross. Just before half time Sami was successful in finishing after a cross from Wessel Kuhn. In between these goals Quick Boys came close once when a free kick by the Katwijkers hit the post. Because PSV was sloppy at times in the final stages, they were unable to score more than four goals before the break.

The second half was barely two minutes away when PSV scored again. Where Raf was responsible for three assists before halftime, now he himself was the final goal. After an assist from Joep Vermeulen he slid the ball past the goalkeeper: 5-0. After this it went quickly. Because in the 47th minute it was 6-0 through Wessel Kuhn who shot the ball with a volley into the far corner after (again) a cross from Raf. A minute later the seventh goal followed through almost a copy of the sixth. A cross from Raf, which Peter Quispel now took on his flick in one go. PSV continued to hunt for more goals. And they did come. In the 58th minute Sami brought his day's total to three goals after Onesime Zimuangana placed the ball perfectly on the head of Floris Bos who well delivered the ball to Sami to score the 8-0. In the final phase of the match, the home team ran out even further. Wessel scored the 9-0 after an assist from Robin van Duiven. Robin scored the 10th goal after another assist from Raf. Wessel then scored his 3rd goal after a good action by Sven who powerfully got to the back line and passed the ball back to Wessel. The final goal was perhaps the best. After Sven had already failed to convert three opportunities against his old team (thanks to good goalkeeping by the Katwijk goalie), he was successful in the final minute. A crossball from Raf ended up with him and like a real striker he finished in a controlled manner, bringing the final score to 12-0.

PSV is thus convincingly through to the next cup round. Next week the league starts with PSV facing Vitesse at home.
