PSV O13 strikes out against Quick

In the first official match of the new season, PSV O13 recorded a big win. Quick from The Hague proved to be no match for the Eindhoven talents and were defeated by a whopping 13-1.

The Eindhoven team started off attackingly and took the lead within ten minutes. Yani Miguel was played free and shot the ball into the far corner. When Sébas Ditmer headed in the 2-0 after a little more than fifteen minutes, the game seemed to have been played. PSV had - as expected - a lot of ball possession and created enough chances for more. Yet it took until the 28th minute before the team struck again, when Shuryjano Cornecion was at the end of a fine attack. The outfielder's goal was also the last goal of the first half.

Also after the break, the Eindhoveners started strongly. Right from the kickoff, Liam Slaats was successful, after which Shuryjano Cornecion put his second goal on the board. However, after this 5-0 PSV slackened a bit, allowing Quick to become dangerous. After an unnecessary handball in the box, the Hagenezen even got a penalty kick, which was put in the net out of reach of goalkeeper Oliver Kruger. After this setback, the Eindhoven goals went fast. The team flashed through the Quick defense and managed to score as many as eight goals in the last 20 minutes. Liam Slaats completed his hat trick, Gennaro van der Sluis scored three more goals and Fabian Merien, Sébas Ditmer and Junior Martina also managed to get their names on the scoreboard. This brought the final score to 13-1.

So a good victory by the Eindhoven talents, which despite an unnecessary goal against managed to put many good attacks on the mat.

Next week the team also starts the league, a showdown with Feyenoord awaits in Rotterdam. The match at Varkenoord will start at 10:00.
