The report

After last week's match, against the number one team in the fall league (Ajax), which we had won 1-2, today it was the next top match against Feyenoord O17.

The first 15 minutes were fairly even, but PSV had the better chances to score. And so it happened in the 8th minute, after a Nigel Thomas cross was touched by a defender allowing Yorbe Vertessen to head in: 1-0. After that, PSV controlled the game and several new opportunities arose. In the 18th minute, a corner was taken by Nigel Thomas, which was shot in at the second post by Shurandy Sambo: 2-0. PSV kept up the pressure on the Feyenoord defence. Feyenoord did get out of the danger zone once in a while, but the defence was good and the Rotterdammers were unable to connect.

In the 24th minute, Mohammed Amine Ihattaren had a chance to make the third, but it was initially shot against a defender. On the returning ball, Sidibe was in the right place and he shot the ball into the goal: 3-0. PSV clearly had the better game of this match. In the 35th minute, a Feyenoord attack was intercepted by Mathijs Bel, who immediately played a deep ball to Vertessen, who ran directly at the goal. But he was brought down in the 16-meter area and PSV was awarded a penalty, which was shot in by Sidibe: 4-0. Shortly after, in the 38th minute, Mathijs Bel shot at goal but was also stopped by a Feyenoord defender and the ball came to the feet of Mohammed Amine Ihattaren. He rounded the keeper and made it 5-0. But Feyenoord continued to push for a goal and that happened in the 39th minute. A breakaway on the right was shot in by the number 7, putting Feyenoord up 5-1.

The pace slowed down a little in the second half, both for PSV and Feyenoord. PSV had a good starting position and did not want to concede a goal in the first 15 minutes, which would make it harder for Feyenoord to win the game due to time pressure and at least get a draw. But Feyenoord were unable to get a grip on the game, there were still some chances back and forth, but in the end no more were scored. It was 5-1 in favor of PSV. That puts us level on points with Ajax O17, only Ajax has a better goal average View the current score here.
