PSV O13 wins in The Hague and advances in cup
PSV O13 recorded a victory in the eighth final of the cup. Against Quick they won 5-1. The difference was made in the first half.
The Eindhoven players started strong and took a 0-1 lead after five minutes. After a corner was turned away, the ball landed at the feet of Robin van Duiven, who slid it past the goalkeeper. The team created a few more chances, but failed to capitalize on them. After twenty minutes it was 0-2 when Eus Waayers headed in an excellent cross from Raf van de Riet.
After that things went quickly for the Eindhoven formation: Samuel Gomez was alert to a cross from Julian van Esdonk, Robin van Duiven headed in a corner and again Samuel Gomez punished defensive fumbles. At halftime the score was 0-5.
In the second half, PSV's play took a turn for the worse. Within two minutes, Quick scored 1-5, after which the Eindhoveners struggled to create chances. However, the team did not get into trouble again, so after an hour of play the final score was 1-5.
A game with two faces for PSV O13. In the quarter finals the team will have to play AZ, who visit De Herdgang. Next Saturday the team plays again in The Hague. ADO is the opponent.
