  1. Match report

    At Philips Stadium!
    PSV TAKES FULL WIN.
Phillip Cocu's team faced a strong defending Celtic.
Not easy because a goal against meant certain elimination.
In the first half an attacking PSV faced a wall of defenders.
There were a few chances, but some sloppiness also led to opportunities for the Scots.
After halftime, PSV came on strong again, but as before, chances came with difficulty.
PSV held their breath when Celtic had a scoring opportunity due to a mistake. However, it all took too long and PSV was able to ward off the danger.
Then came the 82nd minute. PSV was allowed to take a corner kick and Mohamed Rayhi crossed the ball sharply. Joshua Brenet towered over his defender and headed in beyond the keeper's reach unerringly. PSV played out the remaining time professionally. Nine points in the group offers the prospect of continuing. Admittedly as best third, but that does not matter.
