  1. Match report

On a rainy day in Breda, the match between NAC 014 - PSV O14 was played.
After no more players had tapes and straps in different color of socks, the match could begin. (The referee was very sharp before the match).
As their opponents often do, NAC started brightly and put pressure immediately. PSV had some trouble with that for the first ten minutes, but then PSV pulled the game back to them. There was more movement, PSV was looking for the free man, especially forward.
This also happened in the 20th minute. Jochem with his velvet left foot sent Mathijs into the depths on the left, who in turn sent two men into the woods and crossed the ball. The goalkeeper just managed to touch it, but that was not enough to prevent Mo from tapping in the 0-1. Five minutes later he also made it 0-2, when NAC's last man failed to clear a deep PSV ball, putting Mo free in front of the goalkeeper, who always knows what to do with such an opportunity. NAC had no answer to the good play of PSV and two more goals were scored before halftime. The 0-3 was an own goal by a NAC player who kept Mathijs from scoring, but could not prevent the ball from going into the goal. The 0-4 came from a corner. A dangerous weapon from this PSV when Shurandy popped up at the far post. Again he was there at the right moment to tap the ball in.
The second half began with a setback when PSV played the ball past their own defense on the halfway line and NAC was able to run straight at the PSV goal. After Jurre narrowed his goal well it looked like the PSV defenders were still back in time, but in the second NAC still managed to score the 1-4.
PSV did not get flustered by this, and again made it clear five minutes later who was going to win the game here. The always good rising right back Lars saw that Beslan was free in the sixteen and with a fine tight pass through the middle he played the ball into Beslan's feet. He is as quick in the small space as he is small and before NAC noticed he had already passed three men and shot the ball into the far corner to make it 1-5.
Although PSV played good football, beautiful tikkietakkie football alternated with strong individual actions, they did not score anymore. Combinations and actions, however beautiful, were carried through a bit too much so PSV actually sold themselves short. Given the good play and clear superiority, they would have deserved a few more goals.
