Match report:
Today PSV played against a meritorious middle-ranked and also the highest ranked amateur club, Oranje Wit from Dordrecht. Oranje Wit played fresh from the beginning to the end, as there was nothing at stake for them.
PSV got off to an excellent start, scored quickly and thought they would be able to wash this piggyback and get the spoils early. Nothing was further from the truth. PSV still had chances, but played more sloppy and nonchalant (especially defensively) by the minute. And finally, just before halftime, PSV got the bill for this in the form of a penalty kick, rightly or wrongly. After the break, PSV was more concentrated, took the lead again very quickly and did not give away any more chances. Unfortunately, PSV failed to quickly increase the score further. An own goal by Oranje Wit and a quickly executed counter in the last minute put the final score of 4-1 on the scoreboard. One more point (in the away match against RODA JC) and PSV D1 can once again call themselves champions.
