    The report

For the third time this season, the O15s of PSV and sc Heerenveen met. While both previous matches took place at De Herdgang, this time the Frisian soil was the venue. Because the two matches in Eindhoven had different faces, results ánd winners, it could go either way today. Or as they say: 'it can (F)freeze or it can thaw'. PSV won the first game in September comfortably 6-0. But last month it got the lid on the nose when it lost 0-1 for the cup. What will this third Tuesday night showdown bring?

The conditions were far from ideal; the bumpy pitch made good football very difficult. Consequently, the first half was messy. Both teams got some opportunities. The best was for PSV when Dylan Hopman shot a corner from Mylian Jimenez, but the fine Heerenveen goalkeeper was able to turn the ball into a corner with a cat-like reflex. At the other end, Aron van Lare was alert when the big striker suddenly appeared in front of him. After Jesse Giebels headed over just before half time from a free kick by Mylian, both teams went to the dressing rooms with the familiar glasses.

In the first phase of the second half, PSV again had opportunities for the opening goal. First Jasper Huijzer got through well, but saw his effort deflected to the left. Moments later, first Dylan went close with his head and after the attack went through, Milan van de Riet just could not reach the ball. In the penultimate minute Martijn Zuijderwijk, after good work by Iggy Houben, saw his effort end up in the side net. The game seemed to end the way it started. But because the referee let the game go on, PSV had one more chance to attack. Jasper took the ball into the penalty area and crossed hard with his left, after which Iggy Houben was alert and shot the ball into the right corner in injury time: 0-1!

Thus, PSV still took the three points by trying to score the winning goal until the final whistle. The victory lifted the Eindhoven team to the third spot. Although with one point and one game more than Feyenoord, but since that is also their next opponent, they have the third position in their own hands.
