  1. Match report

After last week's victory over Eindhoven, today the away game at the no.5 in the standings RKVVO is on the program. Despite the bad weather last week and this morning, the turf is in good shape. We play on artificial turf.
At 10.30 the whistle sounds for kick-off and the match can begin. The initial phase is one of exploration and there is a status quo. PSV has ball possession but in the rearguard. The midfield and the forwards are difficult to reach and at ball loss RKVVO immediately shows its teeth. After 5 minutes a breakaway from RKVVO is shot past the goal. After 8 minutes the first opportunity for PSV. Brian plays himself free, but his shot is blocked. The field superiority is not expressed in chances, partly due to good defense of RKVVO and the sharpness and ideas that are missing in the PSV attacks. Still, it is Benji who plays himself nicely free and takes a good shot, but the RKVVO goalkeeper takes it well out of the goal. RKVVO also continues to be dangerous with attacks, but thanks to good coming out of Pepijn the damage remains limited for the time being. After fifteen minutes the goal is scored. Unfortunately the goal is for RKVVO. A player can kick in freely after a corner, which means 1-0. It starts to become clear that PSV is not having their day today. Passes are just not arriving, wanting to get one man too many and no luck in finishing what is also thanks to the RKVVO defense which is in good shape. Shots, actions by Sem, Davy, Greg, Yassin, there is always a RKVVO leg in between. We go into the break with a 1-0 deficit.
Hopefully trainer Tim will get the boys back on track after halftime.
RKVVO leaves the initiative back to PSV and plays a kind of catenaccio. This bears fruit, because also in the second game PSV hardly gets any chances. RKVVO is especially fierce in the duels. Furthermore, we have to watch out for RKVVO. After 10 minutes PSV gets their goal. Jay can pick up a deflected attack and shoots in the equalizer. Possibly this goal helps PSV over the threshold. RKVVO also assert themselves again and Sem has to save on the goal line. Moments later RKVVO makes the 2-1. On the left side a RKVVO player can pass the ball, after which another player can pick up the ball and shoot it in. PSV tries, but there is a lack of sharpness or when a shot is on target, the goalkeeper is in a good position. Moments later, another RKVVO attack hits the post.
Another 5 minutes to go and PSV pushes again. Greg shoots and Sem hits the bar. In the last minute PSV gets a free kick. Rico asks for the ball and takes it. The ball sailed under the bar to make it 2-2.
