Report:
PSV had to win from Helmond Sport D1 for a direct placement in the 1/8 finals (knockout phase). And so it happened. After a somewhat hesitant start Helmond Sport D1 was - especially in the first half - skillfully rolled up with good and even at times fantastic football. In the second half the "line" was broken. PSV gave away a Sinterklaas gift in the form of a goal immediately after halftime, but actually PSV only "played" with Helmond Sport, and Helmond Sport was lucky that the score did not reach double digits.
